Dr. J. Michael Pressimone is a strong relationship builder with a reputation for teamwork, collaboration, and a passion for bringing students, faculty, staff, and the community together to achieve mutually beneficial goals.

Most recently, he served as president of Notre Dame College in suburban Cleveland (2020-2023) and Fontbonne University in St. Louis, Missouri (2014-2020), but his higher education career spans more than three decades, the majority of it in the advancement area.

Mike served as vice president of Advancement at Alvernia University, a Franciscan school in Reading, Pennsylvania; Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina; and Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania.

He successfully led the largest comprehensive campaign at Alvernia, surpassing $31 million. In that role, he also oversaw the offices of Development, Alumni Relations and Marketing and Communications. At Elizabethtown College, he designed, implemented, and managed an endowment campaign that surpassed its initial $20 million goal by more than $6 million.

Mike has been an advocate for racial justice, writing in support of greater diversity and inclusion in both the news media and for his campus constituency. He is active in the interfaith community, working to promote harmony among all people of faith.

A native of Baltimore, he holds an Associate of Arts degree from Catonsville Community College (now known as the Community College of Baltimore County), a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Catholic University of America (Washington, D.C.), a Master of Arts in Leadership in Higher Education from Regis University (Denver, Colorado) and a doctorate in Higher Education and Organizational Change from Benedictine University (Lisle, Illinois).

Mike and his wife Cathy have 12 children and 11 grandchildren.

Janet Glogouski, a 2010 graduate of St. Bonaventure’s School of Business, has served the university for more than 20 years.

Joining the staff as a development specialist for the planned giving department, her responsibilities quickly expanded as she advanced to Director of Scholarships & Endowments in March 2004 and took on the additional responsibility of managing the Devereux Giving Societies a year later.

Today she serves as the senior major gifts officer, overseeing all advancement officers as they build and manage their portfolios. Her territory includes Western New York, the New York Metro area, Virginia, and Florida. She is also the fundraising liaison between the Office of Advancement and the School of Business. When not traveling, Janet heads to the fitness center during lunch breaks and kayaks in her free time. She most enjoys spending time with her two grandbabies. 

Janet holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from St. Bonaventure and an associate degree in business administration from Jamestown Community College. She lives in Allegany, N.Y. 

For Marty Blind, Bona’s is a family tradition. His father, Joe, is a member of the class of 1962; one of his sisters, Suzanne, graduated in 1990; and he and his wife, Therese, '98, met at a Bonaventure reunion (they each earned a bachelor’s and a master’s degree at St. Bonaventure).

As a Major Gifts Officer, Marty’s focus is to help the university move forward in its mission and provide today’s students with the same opportunities he and his family were afforded as students.

Marty joined the Advancement team in 2008 after a 10-year career in marketing and sales (and a two-year stint with Bonaventure’s Office of Admissions, recruiting students throughout the northeastern United States). Today, his territory includes Albany, N.Y.; Philadelphia, PA.; Michigan; Tennessee; North Carolina; Illinois; and the New England area.

Marty and Therese are parents to three children — Charlie, Marty, and Clara. He and his family reside in Hamburg, N.Y.

David Brown is excited to be working with a wide range of St. Bonaventure constituents so that they can continue to feel even more engaged with the life of the university. 

He works with alumni and parents in the New York Metro area, California, and Southeastern United States.

David has more than 15 years’ experience working for educational non-profits throughout the country. Before joining the Advancement staff in 2019, he served as Dean of Institutional Advancement at Pinkerton Academy in Derry, New Hampshire, and has worked as a volunteer fundraiser for his undergraduate alma mater, Brown University.

David and his wife, Carrie, reside in nearby Lakewood, New York. A music lover and avid tennis player, David can often be found listening to music or playing doubles with willing Southern Tier opponents.

Melissa DeRose joined St. �山ǿ��’s Advancement Team in September 2022. She is accomplished in development, fundraising, and event planning, with success in physician relations, talent acquisition, strategic planning, and marketing.  Her career experience has primarily been in the healthcare field working with both major donors and physicians to ensure growth and sustainability for area healthcare.

Building relationships and networking with donors has been a true reward for Melissa. A resident of Olean, New York, since 2001, she has worked at both Olean General Hospital and Olean Medical Group (Kaleida Health of Buffalo affiliates). Melissa has recruited and on-boarded multiple physician specialties helping to increase clinical bandwidth for patients in the southern tier. Congruently, she has directed and supported known fundraising events; Girls Night Out, Golf to Fight Cancer, and Handbags for Hope have raised significant funds for the Olean General Hospital Foundation.

In addition to her professional career, Melissa is a member of the Olean Schools Foundation Board and the Le Moyne College Board of Regents (Governance Chair). A community volunteer, she has served on the Twin Tiers YMCA Board of Directors, the Olean Beautification Committee, and as an officer for the Holiday Valley Alpine Race Team. She has worked closely with the Cattaraugus Region Community Foundation establishing scholarships and leading Giving Day for Olean Schools.

A native of Boonville, New York (affectionately known as the North Country), Melissa earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Finance in 1998 from Le Moyne College. She is a 2019 Leadership Cattaraugus graduate.

Joseph Hoag sees his role as a Major Gifts Officer for the university as a continuation of a career-long ministry of encouraging people to give back. 

Joe holds more than three decades’ experience in fundraising and donor relations. He joined Bonaventure’s Advancement staff in January 2014. His responsibilities include fundraising in Metro Washington, D.C., Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Texas, Arizona and Colorado.

Joe most recently served as National Accounts Manager of Diocesan Solutions for Cathedral Corporation in Rome, N.Y., and prior to this served more than 11 years as Director of Stewardship and Development for the Diocese of Erie in Erie, Pa.

Joe is a graduate of Gannon University. When he isn’t securing gifts for the university, Joe enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking and gardening. He and his wife, Mary Beth, have been married more than 35 years and have four daughters, three who graduated from St. Bonaventure. They also now have two son-in-laws who are also Bonnies. They recently welcomed their first grandchild to the family. Joe and Mary Beth make their home in Erie, Pa.

Steve Mest has been a member of the Athletics administrative staff since the fall of 1998. In July of 2022, he was promoted into his current role and is now responsible for major gift solicitations and annual fundraising while leading the athletics portion of “A Bolder Bonaventure.”

From 2017-22, Mest headed the external relations team, which consists of the communications, marketing, fundraising, ticket sales, and corporate sponsorship sales staff. Under his leadership, the Sixth Man Club, Bonnies Athletic Fund, corporate sponsorships, and basketball ticket sales all reached record highs in 2021-22.

In addition to his Advancement responsibilities, Mest is the sport administrator for men’s soccer, men's and women’s cross country and track, and men's tennis and women's tennis. He was the sport administrator for men’s basketball from 2019-22, helping guide the program through the pandemic while the team won the 2021 Atlantic 10 Championship, reached the 2021 NCAA Tournament and advanced to the NIT semifinals in 2022. In 2019-20, Mest led the event planning for the 100th Anniversary season of men's basketball as well as the 50th anniversary and reunion of the 1970 Final Four team.

Mest previously served as Senior Associate AD for External Relations, Associate AD for Strategic Communications and Assistant AD for Communications. 

Active on and off campus, Mest was appointed to the Department's Facilities Planning Committee, Strategic Planning committee and has chaired the Hall of Fame Selection committee since 2003.

A native of Reading, Pa., Mest earned a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from St. Bonaventure in 1991 and a master's degree in Professional Leadership from St. Bonaventure in 2004. He was a member of the Bonnies golf team for three years and captained the squad his senior year.

Mest and his wife Angela reside in Olean and have three children: Sam, Anna and Joe.

The most decorated coach in St. Bonaventure’s athletic history, Sean McNamee is now responsible for all fundraising initiatives within the athletics department. 

"Our family has been involved with �山ǿ�� for the past 70 years and it means so much to us. St. Bonaventure is a great story and I am thrilled to be a vehicle to assist in spreading it,” said Sean. “The passion of our supporters is infectious. Being a nationally recognized Athletics Department in a family-oriented setting is something special."

The McNamee legacy at St. Bonaventure is well-known. Sean's father, John, was a physical education professor as well as the founder of the men's swimming program that his son ultimately inherited.

A native of Olean, Sean graduated from St. Bonaventure in 1986. He began his coaching career at West Virginia University as a graduate assistant, then became the head coach at Potsdam before returning to St. Bonaventure as head coach in 1992. He replaced his brother Kevin, who left to become an administrator at George Mason University. He joined the Advancement staff in 2018.

Sean and his wife, Rosemary, reside in Olean. They have three children — Caitlyn, Liam, and Shannon.
