Family weekend at 缅北强奸


Family weekend reunites students with their families early in the fall semester, when students have settled into their campus routine and are excited to share their life as a Bonnie with their loved ones.


A weekend of family friendly fun

Family Weekend, sponsored by the Campus Activities Board and the Center for Activities, Recreation and Leadership at St. Bonaventure, reunites students and their families so that all may share the rich and varied experiences that make up college life at 缅北强奸.

The weekend includes live entertainment, family oriented games and contests, demonstrations, receptions, sports events, and a host of other events including the wet and wild Polar Spray fundraiser for Special Olympics New York, and the Family Festival featuring live music, food trucks, student group vendors, and much more.

It's a fun weekend for the entire family. Don't miss it.

Thursday, Sept. 26

  • 6:00 p.m. 鈥 Empty Bowls and Baskets Dinner in the Richter Center
    This special evening is dedicated to raising awareness about food insecurity in our community and celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Warming House, one of the oldest student-run soup kitchens in the nation. Each guest will receive a unique, handcrafted bowl or basket as a reminder that while we have food tonight, many in our community do not have daily access to food. Registration is required for this event. Register here:
    In addition to the dinner, we are excited to announce a featuring a variety of exclusive handmade items, including a quilt handsewn by President Jeff Gingerich's mother, Esther, and a very special painting by the late Fr. Dan Riley, ofm. Bidding for the Silent Auction begins online Thursday, September 12, and closes Thursday, September 26, at 7:30 p.m. during the live Empty Bowls & Baskets Dinner. Proceeds from the Dinner and Silent Auction will directly benefit the newly established Endowment for Warming House Sustainability, ensuring that the Warming House can continue serving those in need for years to come.
Friday, Sept. 27

  • 5:30 p.m. 鈥 Polar Spray
    Come to the parking lot between Richter and Reilly centers and get doused by a fire hose! It's all to benefit Special Olympics of Western New York. Registration begins at 4:30 p.m. If interested in donating, visit our . For questions about this event, email Dr. Paula Scraba, event organizer. 
  • 7-8 p.m. 鈥 Paint Night in the Rathskeller
    Local Artist Shelby Harrington will be leading a paint night. See the event posters for the design. This event will be capped at 100 people and participation is first come, first serve. The Rathskeller will still be open during this time for food and drink purchases. 
  • 7:30 p.m. 鈥 "From Bebop to Broadway"
    Olean born and Fredonia native Calabria Fonti is an American singer, violinist, composer, arranger, author, and educator. A consummate musician and a dynamic entertainer, she is a connoisseur of music from Classical to Broadway. In this Musical Homecoming, Fonti and her husband, trombone virtuoso Bob McChesney, come to Bonaventure with 鈥淔rom Bebop to Broadway.鈥 This dynamic duo share their love for the popular song and each other in a delightful evening of entertainment.   • 8-11 p.m. 鈥 S鈥檓ores at the Marchiori Pavilion
    Join us under the new Marchiori Pavilion for a variety of different kinds of s鈥檓ores. 
  • 9-11 p.m. 鈥 Live Music at the Rathskeller
    Grab a drink or some food and listen to The Beard and the Bird. 

Saturday, Sept. 28

  • 8 a.m.-1 p.m. 鈥 Family Weekend Golf at the 缅北强奸 Golf Course
    Enjoy a round of Golf at the 缅北强奸 golf course. Cost to play and form to sign-up for your tee time can be .
  • 9:45 a.m. 鈥 Family 2.5 Fun Run/Walk on the Trail
    All faculty/staff, students and family members invited. Registration begins at 9 a.m. near the Allegheny River Trail by the 缅北强奸 Tennis Courts. Sponsored by The 缅北强奸 Parent鈥檚 Leadership Circle.  Contact Rachel Elser if you have any questions about this event.

  • 11 a.m.-3 p.m. 鈥 Family Weekend Festival
    Join the entire 缅北强奸 community on the parking lot between Richter and Reilly centers for this annual celebration. Dozens of student groups will be selling 缅北强奸 embroidered items. There will be various other craft vendors, live music, food trucks, art, and much more! The event goes on, rain or shine.     Take a 35-minute drive to Mt. Irenaeus in neighboring Allegany County to experience how The Mountain works alongside St. Bonaventure to bring Franciscan spirituality to the university community. All are welcome. You will need to provide your own transportation. Visit .
