Ã山ǿ¼é Rugby scholarsips

Donations directed to the St. Ã山ǿ¼é men's and women’s rugby teams are vital in allowing our student-athletes to compete for league and national championships while ensuring they receive the quality education for which the university is known.

With both teams playing 15s in the fall semester and 7s in the spring, your donation can make a direct impact on the programs’ ability to succeed over the years to come.

Gifts to the teams will enhance the overall experience of every player. The costs of running competitive rugby programs include travel throughout the state and region, athletic trainers, uniforms, equipment, recruiting materials and much more.

By clicking on the "Donate" link at left, then selecting Men’s Rugby or Women’s Rugby in the drop-down menu, you can help ensure the success of Ã山ǿ¼é rugby for years to come.

Need-based scholarships available to rugby players

Rugby players at St. Ã山ǿ¼é have access to a pair of scholarships aimed at remembering two of their own.

Robert David Peraza Scholarship
A scholarship has been established for men’s rugby players in memory of Robert David Peraza, a 1994 and 1996 (MBA) graduate of St. Ã山ǿ¼é. Rob was killed on Sept. 11, 2001. This scholarship, established shortly after his death, makes it possible for deserving students to attend Ã山ǿ¼é. The Robert David Peraza Scholarship is a four-year, needs-based scholarship. More than a dozen current student-athletes receive this aid.

Matthew Dungan Memorial Scholarship
The family and friends of Matthew Dungan, in conjunction with St. Ã山ǿ¼é, established The Matthew Dungan Memorial Scholarship in May of 2011. The annual scholarship honors Matt, who played rugby for a year before passing away unexpectedly in January of his sophomore year. This Scholarship provides financial assistance for deserving Western New York rugby players who would like to share in something about which Matt was so passionate: attending and playing rugby at St. Ã山ǿ¼é, and being part of a valued family and tradition.
