St. Ã山ǿ¼é

Twin Tiers Regional Science Fair

Each spring, St. Ã山ǿ¼é, in partnership with Terra Science and Education, hosts a science fair for school students in the Twin Tiers region of southwestern New York and northwestern Pennsylvania.

The fair is open to students in grades 5-12 from Allegany, Cattaraugus and Chautauqua counties in New York, and McKean, Potter and Warren counties in Pennsylvania. Students may attend public, private, charter, parochial or home schools.

Students prepare science or engineering projects or topic presentations to present to qualified judges. Students are guided by an adult sponsor — a teacher, parent, guardian or youth leader — who helps them plan their work and ensures that safety precautions are followed.

The fair is organized by St. Bonaventure with the full support of Terra Science and Education, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life through the support of education and innovation. Terra sponsors five regional science and engineering fairs across New York and Pennsylvania, serving students in 25 counties.

Judges for the fair include representatives from local manufacturers, along with professors and students from the science and mathematics departments at St. Ã山ǿ¼é.
